Pip hid behind a tall blade of grass. Above him, butterflies danced among the wildflowers.
Four or five butterflies fluttered up and down, circling the flower heads like tiny flying petals.
Nearby, a bunny sat by the stream. She pressed her nose deep into her paws and sobbed. Each shake made the water ripple.
Pip watched from behind the grass. He thought about wandering over, but his quills prickled with hesitation.
He stepped out from the oak tree and into the meadow. His little feet made no sound on the soft earth.
The bunny lifted her head and sniffed the air. A puff of dandelion fluff drifted past his quills.
Pip nudged a smooth grey pebble with his nose. It clicked against a bigger rock. Click. Click.
The bunny's ears perked straight up. She followed him toward the shade of the oak tree.
