The sun shone bright on the forest meadow, waking the wildflowers from their nap.
Pip the hedgehog spotted a butterfly. He tried to squeeze into the hollow log, but his round belly bumped the bark. 'Oh no!' he huffed, turning red.
The other hedgehogs zoomed across the grass, fast as the wind. Pip took one heavy step, thud, thud. He was slower.
Pip walked to the berry bush every morning. On the third day, he hopped over a stick and wobbled. He laughed.
The butterfly returned! Pip took a big leap and landed softly beside it. It fluttered up and tickled his nose.
Pip rolled down the gentle hill, spinning faster and faster. Whoosh! He popped up at the bottom with a big grin.
He brushed the grass from his quills and trotted forward. He was ready for more adventures.
The sun began to set, painting the sky in orange and pink. The meadow settled into a peaceful quiet.
