The meadow is sunny and gold. The little bunny hops through wildflowers.
He dashes across the grass and peeks into the burrow. Thump! A root catches his foot.
The vase tips — crash! It shatters on the stone floor. His ears fly straight up.
He gathers the broken pieces. His whiskers droop low.
He looks out the window. An orange cat lounges on the fence! An idea tumbles into his head.
He drags a muddy paw print near the shelf. Then he hides behind the door.
Mama comes home. She gasps. She looks at the broken vase, then at the paw print, then at the ceiling.
He steps forward. 'I did it,' he whispers. 'I broke the vase.' Mama's eyes grow wide, then soft.
Mama kneels and pulls him into a hug. Her fur tickles his cheeks.
She hands him a glue pot and a fresh flower. 'Let's fix it together,' she says warmly.
His ears perk up. He sniffs the sweet petals.
Together they fix the vase. The meadow shines outside.
