Pip burrowed deep into the warm brown soil. He waited. And waited. Still nothing. He kicked his little seed feet. "Bored!"
A warm golden sun climbed into the sky and shone right onto Pip. He pressed his back against the sunbeam, soaking it in.
Dark clouds gathered and rain poured down — pitter-patter, pitter-patter. Pip let the rain wash over him, drinking every drop.
A breeze swished through the garden, rustling the leaves above. The wind hummed a low song that vibrated right through the dirt. Pip held still and listened.
One bright morning, a green shoot poked up through the soil. And sitting atop the stem, glowing in the light, was a cheerful yellow flower.
Pip spread his petals wide and swayed in the breeze. He held his head high and smiled at the whole wide world.
The sun warmed the petals. The breeze kept humming its song. Pip closed his eyes and enjoyed every moment.
High in the warm garden, Pip stood tall — a happy yellow flower smiling at the sky.
