Pippin hopped out of his small hole. He hit a big, red ball in the grass. The ball moved slowly among the pretty flowers.

The red ball rolled on the grass. Pippin ran after it. “Wait for me!” he said.

Pippin sat under the big tree. He held his red ball. “Mine!” he said. The fox, the turtle, and the mouse were there.

Pippin threw the ball up. It fell on his head. “Bonk!” He sat in the leaves. The ball bounced beside him.

Pippin looked around. He had a big smile. “Did anyone see me?” he thought. The red ball was by his side.

The fox threw a leaf to the turtle. Pippin watched the leaf fall. It fell near the turtle.

The mouse looked at the leaf. Pippin put his paw on the ball. The ball stopped bouncing.

Pippin took the red ball to the flowers. His friends were near the yellow flowers. He held the ball and looked at them.

The turtle looked at Pippin. “Can I play too?” she asked.

Pippin held the red ball. “Yes!” he said. He was ready to share.

Pippin rolled the ball to the turtle. The ball rolled through the grass. The turtle got the ball.

The turtle tapped the ball. The fox pushed it to the mouse. “Your turn!” Pippin said.

The mouse pushed the ball. Oops! The ball rolled under her. “Eep!” she said. Pippin helped her.

Pippin rolled the ball to the mouse. “Again!” he said. Bump, bump, bump! All the friends laughed and played.
