Pip tiptoed into the kitchen. Something was waiting on the table.
A tall glass of dark fizzy juice! He picked it up and took a big sip.
Pfft! The bubbles popped all over his tongue. Pip spit it right back into the glass with a loud pop!
His face scrunchled up. He waved his hands and then took one tiny sip. More bubbles raced around his mouth.
The chair scraped. Dad walked in holding an empty pitcher. "That was my special soda," he laughed.
The next morning, Pip pointed to a glass. "Can I try?"
Dad poured him bright orange juice. Pip took a sip.
Pip smiled. Juice was much better.
