Pip threw open the front door and leaped straight into the first puddle. Splash! Water flew up in glittering drops.
The little fox landed with a mighty splash. His ears wiggled. He loved this.
Plop. Plop. SPLASH! Pip hopped from puddle to puddle, grinning so wide his whiskers trembled.
The rain slowed. Drip. Drip. Pip froze mid-hop.
Then a rainbow unfurled across the sky — thick bands of red, yellow, and green arching right over his street.
Pip's mouth fell open. He wanted someone to see this.
He turned and scrambled backward to his door. He had to tell someone.
Pip burst into his friend's house, breathless and pointing. The friend looked up — and gasped.
There, glowing above the rooftops, was the rainbow. Thick bands of red, yellow, and green.
Pip laughed. The rabbit laughed too. It was the best rainbow ever.
