Pippa stepped into the garden. A tiny sniffle came from the rose bushes.
She knelt and found a small brown bunny pressed against a root. "Don't worry," Pippa said.
A blue wildflower path vanished under a tumble of pinecones. Then she spotted a second path glowing with fireflies.
She followed the fireflies until the trees grew thick and dark. A wide stream blocked the way.
Pippa stepped onto flat stones. The last one wobbled, and the bunny slipped.
Pippa caught the bunny by its fluffy tail and set it gently on solid ground.
She spotted a tiny door behind ivy at the base of an old oak tree. The bunny scrambled inside. A chorus of happy squeaks echoed out.
Three more bunnies tumbled out and circled her shoes, bumping her ankles with soft noses. The pink castle glowed warm in the distance.
