In the cozy little bakery, Rohan tipped flour into a big bowl. Poof! A white cloud covered the counter. “Oh dear!”
Rohan blinked through the powder. “Mira’s birthday cake still needs eggs, sugar, and stirring.”
Rohan lined up the eggs, sugar, and whisk. The spoon clattered, and the sugar bag wobbled beside it.
Rohan caught the sugar bag just before it spilled. The oven hummed, and the busy counter seemed to grow busier.
Rohan grabbed the eggs. One slipped away and rolled across the counter. Tap, tap, tap!
Rohan chased it with both hands. Floury footprints trailed behind, and the egg tapped toward the counter’s edge.
The egg stopped beside a flour tin. Rohan paused, while the bakery clattered and hummed all around.
A cheerful grin appeared beside Rohan. “I can whisk the eggs!” said Rohan’s little sister.
The little sister whisked the eggs. Swish, swish, SWISH! Egg splattered across Rohan’s apron.
Rohan wiped the apron with a towel. The little sister kept whisking, swish, swish, until the eggs turned smooth.
Together, they added sugar and flour. The batter grew thick, glossy, and ready for the pan.
Rohan held the pan steady while the little sister poured. Plop! The batter filled the round pan.
The pan slid into the oven. Soon, a sweet cake smell drifted through the bakery.
When Mira arrived, candles sparkled on the cake. Rohan shared the first slice, and happy laughter filled the bakery.
