The little kangaroo hopped onto his bed. Bump, bump, bump. The mattress felt like a real mountain.
He bounced once. Twice. Then — plop! — he landed right in a soft dip between two big lumps. He giggled.
Roo grabbed his flashlight and pointed it at the wall. Shadows jumped to life. Birds flapped. Rabbits hopped.
Then a shadow dragon lifted its head. Roo's eyes went wide. He whispered, 'Oh.'
The shadow dragon shook its wings. Roo turned off the flashlight and leaned back. The adventure was just beginning.
He looked out the window at the silver moon. Then he looked back at his whole room. Something magical was happening.
His bed stretched into a mountain range. The green rug was a meadow. The coat rack stood like a tall tree. The bookshelf? A giant castle.
Roo smiled. Everything in his room was part of the adventure. He snuggled into his bumpy mountain and closed his eyes.
