Rosa pushed open the garden gate. The flowers glowed like tiny lanterns in the morning light.
A soft whispering filled the air. She leaned closer, her breath fogging in the cool morning.
Rosa crouched by a blue bell. 'Good morning,' whispered the flower.
'Hello,' she whispered back. The blue bell shivered with delight.
Rosa walked to a row of yellow daisies. They chattered in a rush, 'Look at her! Look at her!'
She covered her ears, then uncovered them. The daisies giggled.
A tiny flower trembled, its petals drooping. Rosa gently waters it with her water bottle.
The flower bloomed brighter. 'Thank you, Rosa,' it whispered. The whole garden glowed even more.
Rosa sat in the garden and listened as the flowers sang a soft lullaby.
The sun set behind the hills. The ordinary morning had become magical.
She tucked the glowing petal into her pocket. It pulsed like a tiny heartbeat.
Rosa whispered goodnight to the garden. Every flower glowed back, one last time.
