Sami sat alone by the low shelf. He clutched his special picture and whispered, "I miss home." His eyes stayed fixed on the floor.

A girl walked over and sat beside him. She showed him her drawing — a lopsided cat with three tails. Sami's eyebrows wiggle.
They looked at both pictures side by side. Sami pointed at the cat's extra tails. "How many does yours have?" he asks.
The girl made the cat dance across the page. Sami laughed so hard he nearly dropped his picture. "That cat is dancing on air!" he says.
Sami put his picture next to the cat drawing. He grabbed a crayon. "Let's draw something new together," he says.
The boy held his crayon and looked at the blank paper. The girl leaned closer, ready to draw too. They both smiled.
Together they began to draw. The cat had new friends now, and the boy felt a little less lonely.
