Sandy trudged across the sandy ocean floor. She left deep drag marks behind her slow feet. A tiny seahorse zoomed past and giggled.
She slipped on her blue mask and pushed off the ground. Her hair floated up around her shoulders. The drag marks began to fade.
Sandy zoomed past a garden of bright orange and pink coral. A school of silver fish scattered and reformed around her. She looped through floating bubbles that popped against her cheeks.
A wave of sunlight rippled across the ocean floor. It caught Sandy mid-twirl and turned everything into dancing gold coins. She spread her arms wide and launched forward.
Sandy spun in a wild happy circle. Bubbles rose behind her like a trail of jewels. She did not stop. She could not stop.
At last, Sandy drifted near a cluster of smooth white stones. She hummed softly. Everything felt quiet and light.
A small fish poked its head close. Then it sneezed. A perfect silver bubble burst right on Sandy's nose.
Sandy laughed and kicked off again. She was already ready for another loop.
She zoomed past the orange coral again. The silver fish followed her school in a tight happy loop.
Sandy swam until the light grew soft and gold. Then she rested on the smooth gray stone and watched the bubbles rise.
