Seina pressed her nose against the cool window glass. Something silver glittered near the rose bush.
A grin spread across her face. She ran to the door and tugged on her bright yellow rain boots.
Her boots squished in the damp grass. A trail of crushed lavender petals led deeper into the garden.
She found a purple flower with a butterfly resting on it. Its wings looked like stained glass.
She tiptoed closer. A twig snapped. The butterfly lifted one wing then the other — a little dance.
She held her breath and held out her hand. The butterfly fluttered down and landed on her fingertip.
Her whole face lit up. The butterfly took off again and settled on a blooming marigold.
She waved from behind her back. 'See you tomorrow,' she whispered. Her boots left tiny prints as she walked home.
