Mama rested her hand on her round tummy.
She smiled wide and whispered, 'Pippa was loved.'
She called for Mama. Mama grabbed Dada's hands and bounced them up and down.
Dada whooped, 'Pippa was loved!' They ran to find Grandma and Grandpa.
Grandma and Grandpa clapped their hands and jumped.
They shouted, 'Pippa was loved!' and waited by the window all day.
A little cry came from down the street.
The door opened — Pippa was here, wrapped in a soft blanket, squirming and fussing.
Everyone gathered around, whispering, 'Pippa was loved.' She snuggled close to Mama.
Pippa sat in her high chair with a big spoon and giggled at every face.
'Pippa was loved,' they all said together.
Pippa was loved.
