A giant T-shaped shadow stretched across the bright classroom table. Tala grabbed colorful craft sticks. “I’m finding T!”
The sticks clacked across the table. Tala sorted blue, yellow, red, and green pieces into a little pile.
Tala searched the room. “T!” she called at the table edge, a toy sign, and two crossed pencils.
She placed one long stick across a shorter upright stick. The top slipped off—clatter! Tala tried again with blue, yellow, and red.
Tala added one final stick. A tall, colorful T stood proudly on the table.
Tala pointed to three paper pictures. “Tiger. Tree. Turtle.” The pictures wobbled beside the tall T.
Suddenly, the tall T tipped forward and landed on Tala’s head like a silly hat. She peeked through the sticks and giggled.
Tala carefully lifted the letter back onto the table. She carried it toward the front of the classroom.
At the front, Tala held up her creation. “T is for tiger, tree, and turtle!”
Tala set the T beside the letter-learning cards. It stayed tall and ready for more T words.
Tala tapped the top bar. “T!” she whispered, while the colorful letter stood ready for its next word.
The T stood tall beside the cards. “T!” Tala whispered once more.
