Yolcu stepped onto the long thin path. Green grass brushed Yolcu's ankles, soft and cool. A pine tree waited with every few steps.
The path turned left, right, then left again. A pine cone dropped from above and landed at Yolcu's feet. Yolcu picked it up and set it in a pocket.
Yolcu hopped over a crack and sidestep-ped a white stone. Two dandelions grew side by side. A bee hummed — then buzzed away.
At the end of the path a wooden gate stood half open. Yolcu pushed through, shoulder first.
Yolcu gasped. The path curled back on itself — there it was again, stretching into the green.
Yolcu turned around. Slowly, the long walk home began.
Pine needles Crunch-crunch-crunched underfoot. Yolcu paused and listened.
A breeze carried the smell of grass and warm earth. Yolcu breathed in.
The path led to a small door. Yolcu climbed the step, smiled, and pushed it open.
Yolcu carried the quiet walk inside.
