In the jungle kitchen, the stone pot sat empty. Four little baby dinosaurs peeked inside.
Chapathi tugged Mom's apron and pointed a tiny claw at the empty pot. 'We're so hungry!' the other three chirped. Mom hummed, 'I'll make a special Fancy Chapathi.'
Mom flipped dough on the hot stone. She sprinkled rainbow seeds, crunchy leaves, and sparkling sugar on top. The kitchen filled with a warm, toasty smell.
She stacked four golden chapathis on a leaf plate and called, 'Here you go!'
Chapathi took a big bite. The other three stuffed their faces. Then all four spat the chapathi out — Ackk! — and froze.
Chapathi grabbed the others' claws. They scrambled backward and knocked over a jar of peppercorns. They bolted for the cave door.
They bolted out the cave door and into the jungle, their little feet drumming against the roots.
They sprinted past ferns and stones until the mountain loomed ahead. The four huddled at its base, panting.
Chapathi peeked over a rock. 'Sometimes... even tasty things can be scary,' Chapathi whispered.
The others crept forward and joined Chapathi behind the rock. They watched the mountain together.
Chapathi took a deep breath and nodded. 'We can go back,' it said.
They raced back through the jungle, past ferns and stones, all the way home. Mom was waiting with a warm smile.
