Bavi slid down the muddy bank and splashed into the river. The water was brown and gloomy. He frowned at his reflection.
He waddled to a bush and poked at bright red berries. One popped, staining his orange fur. 'Oh dear!' he gasped. Then he smiled at the splash of color.
Trotting through the forest, Bavi found tall green leaves. He plucked one and wore it as a hat. 'Perfect!' he thought.
A fallen log tripped him. He rolled right into a patch of yellow flowers. Pollen stuck to his fur. 'Bless me!' he sneezed.
Near a tree root, Bavi dug and unearthed an orange carrot. He munched happily. 'Crunch, crunch, yum!' he said.
Beyond the meadow path, he spotted a vine heavy with purple grapes. 'Grapes!' he cheered, and hurried toward them.
He bumped into the grapevine and tumbled backward into pink petals. He sneezed again, and the petals swirled up around him like a rainbow storm.
Sitting up, Bavi blinked through a coat of every color. He laughed until he rolled onto his back, holding up ten colorful paws.
