The jungle river sparkled behind the fallen leaves. Chinku dug and dug, and then his nose twitched.
A rolled-up paper stuck out. Chinku unrolled it and saw a map with a bright yellow drawing. His ears shot straight up.
Bholu and Mithu came bounding over, their eyes wide. "Look at that!" said Mithu.
At the cave mouth, a stone tablet blocked the way with three riddles carved in giant letters. Chinku whispered the answers.
The stone slid open with a deep rumble. Bholu pumped his paw and Mithu let out a happy squawk. They squeezed inside.
A wide river splashed across the cave. Bholu waded in first, splashing water over his head. Mithu pointed at floating logs above.
Chinku hopped from log to log, pulling the others along. Splash, splash, splash!
They reached the inner chamber. A golden mango glowed on a rocky pedestal, but a sloth guardian hung upside down, blocking the path.
Chinku tapped his foot, then called out a silly joke. The sloth's mouth opened wide in surprise.
Bholu and Mithu dashed past in the chaos. Chinku grabbed the golden mango and held it high!
They split the mango into three pieces. It tasted like sunshine and sticky sweetness.
Chinku, Bholu, and Mithu sat shoulder to shoulder on a mossy rock, watching the river sparkle as the cave glowed gold around them.
