On Mia’s fourth birthday, colorful toys covered the cozy room. Mia pulled a shiny jar from beneath the pile and gasped.
The lid popped open with a tiny chime. A glowing paper slipped out, and the word “Mia” shone across it.
A soft, warm hug wrapped around Mia. Mia whispered, “Who is hugging me?”
Mia shook the jar. Another paper twirled out: “Mia’s family.” Golden light hugged her again, and Mia squeezed the yellow teddy bear.
Mia tipped the jar too quickly. Papers whirled everywhere—past blocks, over the drum, and BONG!
Mia scrambled after the papers, laughing. Each one held a name for someone who loved Mia.
Mia read each name aloud. With every name, another gentle hug appeared, and the toys began a noisy birthday parade.
Then the jar went quiet. Mia shook it once, twice, three times, but no paper came out.
Suddenly, the lid flew off. A shower of glowing hearts filled the room, and soft hugs arrived all at once.
Mia set the magic jar beside the birthday cake and hugged the teddy bear. The jar glowed steadily while laughter filled the colorful room.
