The garden sun felt too bright. Ladybug flipped her shell over and gasped.
She scurried toward a tall green leaf, searching for her dark dots.
Under the shadow, a beetle buzzed past. It left a fuzzy pollen grain behind.
Ladybug climbed a thorny rose stem. Her legs slipped on the smooth bark.
She tumbled onto a soft moss patch. 'Oh dear,' she thought.
A sudden gust of wind whipped through the garden. Leaves danced in the air.
The breeze tickled her antennae. She closed her eyes and smelled rain.
The wind dropped. Black spots reappeared, crisp and shiny on her red shell.
She did a happy little spin. The sturdy weight of her shell returned.
Ladybug sat still, feeling safe. The garden was quiet again.
