Bobo hopped past the tall meadow grass and spotted something shimmering on the dirt path ahead. His ears shot straight up and his nose wiggled. A cool breeze carried a sweet flower smell from the whispering forest.
Bobo followed the shimmering trail into the whispering trees. Shimmering dust floated between the trunks like tiny stars. He reached out a paw but the dust tickled his whiskers and floated away with a soft tingling sound.
The trail led to a circle of glowing mushrooms that giggled when Bobo hopped near them. His tail gave a little jump and he let out a quiet 'Oh!' Glittery spores puffed up around his head like dancing stars.
Bobo peered over a gnarled root and gasped. A glowing rainbow arched right over the forest, its colors pulsing like living light. His ears flattened with amazement and he stood frozen as the rainbow hummed a low musical note.
Bobo trotted back out to the sunny meadow, but everything looked different now. The dandelions gleamed like tiny suns and butterflies left faint sparkles in their wake. His whiskers trembled with delight.
He bounced in little loops around the meadow, his whole body humming with wonder. The meadow was his again — but now it felt magical.
Bobo settled into the soft grass and looked at the forest. The rainbow still glowed faintly above the trees, humming its gentle song. He closed his eyes and smiled.
The meadow belonged to Bobo. And now it always would — a little bit magical, just for him.
