Sunlight filled the playroom. Bita tugged a colorful box from beneath the rug.
The box wiggled. Jingle-jingle! Its lid popped open, and Bita whispered, “Whoa!”
Bita reached inside and grabbed a bouncing ball. It sprang away—boing!
Boing-boing-boing! The ball ricocheted past bright blocks. Bita chased it across the room.
Behind Bita came a mysterious jingle. The box had another surprise waiting.
Bita reached in again and pulled out a dancing surprise. It spun across the floor with a silly squeak.
Bita clapped and giggled. Then the box began hopping toward the door.
Bita grabbed the box before it bounced away. Its lid flipped open and launched the ball skyward!
The ball dropped fast. Bita reached up and caught it with both hands.
Pop! The box burst into a rainbow of paper stars. They fluttered everywhere.
Bita placed the ball and dancing surprise back inside. The box waited quietly on the rug.
Jingle. The box settled beside Bita. Bita hugged it close, ready for another surprise.
