Joyful learning together

Rosamint pressed her palm against the glowing screen. The pink-and-lavender castle hummed with a crackle of new video call. Her fellow little princesses shattered into fizzing static. Their faces smeared like wet watercolor. "Hello? Can you see me?" she called.

The screen glitched again mid-lesson. Three little princesses looped the same sentence over and over. Their voices squeaked like rusty hinges. Rosamint scrunches her nose and slams her pencil flat on the desk. "I can't do this alone," she mutters.

Then Rosamint does something foolish: she throws both arms up and ROARS "HEY!" straight into the glitching screen. A spray of tiny golden sparkles bursts from her words, crawling across the static like fireflies escaping a jar. One princess stops mid-sentence.

On the far side of the glow, a looped little princess sees the sparkles landing on her lavender windowsill. She starts cheering back with a loud, wobbly "YAY!" The hiss stutters, cracks, and for one bright second both screens flicker clean.

Rosamint lifts both arms and screams "WOOOO!" into her screen. The sound leaps across the glowing windows to every pink-and-lavender tower in the chain. One by one, then all at once, her fellow little princesses answer with stomping, hooting cheers.

Pixel-sparkle confetti erupts from every screen, flooding the lesson halls in a grand, sparkly castle party. The constellation-math worksheet curls up and blinks out of existence beneath the glitter. The steady hiss filling the whole tower finally fades away.

Next morning, Rosamint skips to her tower and unrolls a long strip of golden confetti she saved from the party. Before the teacher even opens the lesson, she waves both hands and hollers, "Ready for round two?"

Every fellow little princess on the other side is already cheering, already throwing sparkles back across the glow. The hiss of static never comes; the screens just shine, bright and steady, full of laughing voices. The lesson begins in harmony.
