In the cozy workshop, Sprocket twisted a silver wrench on a sputtering toy rocket. Pop! A spring flew across the room.
The spring landed inside the TOOLS box. Sprocket reached for it, but the box tipped over with a clatter.
Sprocket grabbed a screwdriver, then a hammer. Whirr, tap, bonk! The rocket wiggled, puffed blue dust, and rolled under the workbench.
Sprocket stretched under the bench and pulled out the rocket. Its tiny gear was missing. “Where did that gear go?” Sprocket thought.
The workshop clock ticked loudly. Sprocket searched through piles of parts and found three round gears, but none fit.
Then Sprocket spotted the spring stuck beneath the purple toolbox. Sprocket yanked it free, and the toolbox flipped open.
A just-right gear popped out, bounced off Sprocket’s purple foot, and landed inside the rocket. Ping!
Sprocket tightened the gear and spring together. The rocket shivered, then zoomed around the workshop in a bright red blur.
The rocket bumped a stack of teacups. Crash! Every bell rang at once. Sprocket laughed as the workshop filled with cheerful whirrs.
At last, Sprocket gave the shiny rocket one careful final twist. Whirr, click, hum—the little machine purred perfectly on the workbench.
