Mira and her best friend climbed into the rollercoaster car. A tiny wasp buzzed in and landed on Mira's shoulder. The ride lurched forward.
The car climbed higher. The wasp hopped from Mira's shoulder to her friend's hair. Mira held out a finger, and the wasp stepped onto it.
The rollercoaster dropped. Mira squeezed her eyes shut. The wasp fluttered up and tapped its legs on the bar. Mira opened one eye and laughed. 'You're having fun too!'
At the top, the car paused. The wasp bumped against Mira's nose. She grinned. 'Let's do this!' She let go of her friend's hand and waved.
The car plunged down the big drop. Wind whipped through Mira's hair. She screamed with joy.
The car rattled through loops and turns. Mira's laughter echoed across the fair. She held on and dared to open her eyes.
The final loop slowed, and the car clicked to a stop. Mira blinked in the bright light.
Mira stepped out of the car with the wasp still on her finger. Her friend took her hand, and they walked toward the glowing fair.
