The beech forest breathes softly. At the forest's edge, three little huts of leaves and moss glow faintly. The light grows soft and purple.
Fips tumbles across the forest floor – Thump! Three glittering shells pulse before him in the twilight. He stops.
He carefully picks up a shell. It warms his paws with a gentle tickle, like a tiny sun seed.
Fips hurries on. The shell glows softly beside him. To that bunny over there, he thinks.
In the tall grass, the bunny trembles. Fips holds out the shell. Its warm light melts his pointy ears.
The bunny sniffs at the glow. His eyes go wide. "Oh!" he whispers – and his little mouth smiles.
Fips runs. The second shell thumps in his paw. Ahead, the tall grass rustles.
The fawn flees from a shadow – then stops. The light makes its little horns smile. It follows Fips.
Blink. Blink. Blink. All three shells whisper in time. Fips blinks: What's bubbling over there?
The last light waves toward the path's edge. There, the little frog sits on his stone, waiting.
Fips places the shell in the frog's paws. Together, the three glows paint a golden path.
They snuggle into the warm moss. The forest breathes deep. The light drifts softly to sleep.
