Loud quacks burst beside the flower path. Timo hurried beneath a leafy tree and found a lost yellow duck.
Timo knelt beside the duck. “Quack? Let’s find your family.” The duck grabbed Timo’s paw, and they hurried toward the pond.
Tiny webbed footprints dotted the winding path. Timo followed them carefully while the duck waddled ahead.
The footprints stopped at a puddle. SPLASH! The duck drenched Timo from head to toe.
Timo wiped muddy water from Timo’s ears and kept searching. The swings, flowers, and sunny pond offered no answer.
A yellow feather floated from a bush. The duck quacked so loudly that three colorful balloons wobbled overhead.
Timo and the duck followed the feather trail behind a fountain. Yellow feathers curved through the grass like tiny arrows.
Suddenly, a whole flock popped from the tall grass. Quack, quack, quack! The lost duck froze.
One duck called back. The lost duck raced across the grass, and the family hurried to meet it.
Beside the pond, the duck family circled Timo in a cheerful quack parade. Timo waddled along, dripping, smiling, and holding the little yellow feather.
