Tumbles woke up and reached for his red polka-dot scarf. It was not there. He saw it drifting past the fence!
Tumbles hopped after it. His paws pattered on the grass as he chased the scarf through the bright garden.
The scarf fluttered over the stone path and landed on a low bush branch. Tumbles stood on his hind legs and stretched — but his paws fell short.
The bush leaves rustled — shhh, shhh — and the scarf wiggled just out of reach.
Tumbles jumped up, but bounced back down with a soft thud. He spotted a small brown acorn nearby and pushed it toward the bush.
He climbed onto the acorn and stretched — this time his fingers brushed the red fabric!
Tumbles wrapped the red polka-dot scarf around his neck and snuggled into the soft cotton. The leaves tickled his ears.
The garden hummed with a sleepy bee. Tumbles pulled the scarf tight and let out a happy sigh.
