Tutu the little owl tilted her head and heard a strange croaking sound drifting up from the tall flowers below.
She hopped down and waddled toward the meadow. A green frog sat on a lily pad nearby.
Tutu opened her beak and let out a loud "Ribbit!" The frog jumped straight into the air with a big splash.
Tutu practiced her ribbit all the way across the sunny meadow until she reached a brown cow chewing grass by the fence.
"Moo," said Tutu. The cow's tail gave a slow thoughtful swish, and she trotted toward the duck pond.
Tutu arrived at the duck pond and called out, "Quack!" to a yellow duck swimming in circles.
The duck stopped, looked straight at her, and quacked back perfectly. Tutu clapped her wings with a happy hoot.
Tutu climbed back up into the old oak tree, ready to try one more thing.
She sang ribbit, moo, and quack all together in one big joyful song.
The sound echoed across the meadow. Every flower seemed to tremble with laughter.
The frog, the cow, and the duck all looked up and smiled.
Tutu curled up in her cozy nest, humming ribbit-moo-quack under her breath as the sun dipped below the tall flowers.
