The classroom hummed with quiet clicks and soft chatter. Vivi walked to her desk, the science fair volcano waiting in the center.
Vivi plugged in the volcano and pressed the button. Purple foam exploded everywhere — shoes, desk, floor!
She grabbed paper towels and started wiping. But the purple foam kept oozing — and bubbling louder!
The foam bubbled and bubbled — then WHOOSH! A thick purple stream shot straight up to the ceiling fan.
"Help!" Vivi called. Her classmates ran over, eyes wide at the bubbling purple mess.
They grabbed sponges and towels and tried to wipe it away. But the more they wiped, the more it sprayed!
Then — the volcano went quiet. The bubbling stopped. And a soft golden light glowed from inside.
Tiny golden sparkles floated up like fireflies. The children leaned in close, their faces full of awe.
Vivi and her friends pressed their hands against the warm glass of the volcano. The sparkles danced inside.
They laughed and cheered, watching the golden sparkles twirl and spin. One friend reached up to try and catch them.
They high-fived and cheered until — BRRRRIIINNNG! The classroom bell rang, and everyone jumped.
The golden sparkles kept dancing inside the volcano. Vivi smiled. It wasn't a science fair project anymore — it was magic.
