Wally dove from the surface. SPLASH! The water knocked a seagull sideways. Droplets sparkled like diamonds in the sun.
He watched the droplets fall. The bay felt huge now that he was wet. Wally slid back down into the cool depths.
Wally tried again, spinning in tight circles. His fins blurred into a whirlpool. Bubbles popped against his belly as he grinned.
He leaped high toward the sandbar. BOOM! Salt and sand sprayed over his eyes. He shook his head, blinking away the grit.
Wally slid onto the warm sand. He left a large, wet imprint behind him. Sunlight baked his back until it felt fuzzy and dry.
He kicked his tail, launching himself back. Into the inviting blue water, Wally jumped and splashed again.
Back in the cool water, a rainbow arced through the mist. The smell of salt filled the air as he rolled over.
Wally laughed at the chaos he made. He stayed there, playing in the splashy, sparkling bay forever.
