Theo's pencil rolled off the desk. *Clatter.* He pushed his crumpled paper away.
He climbed into bed and pulled the blanket to his chin. The clock ticked. He closed his eyes.
The ceiling grew golden. The worries floated up like dandelion seeds and became glowing butterflies.
Theo landed on a cloud that smelled like warm bread. *Boing, boing.* He giggled. The cloud drifted over a valley of starlight.
Sunlight warmed his face. Theo sat up. The tear was gone.
He smoothed his pajamas and smiled at the desk. Then he walked over and picked up his pencil.
The paper was blank and waiting. Theo sat down. He felt ready.
He took a breath and began to draw.
