Lumina swept across the deep, dark earth. Above the waters, the Spirit of God hovered in silence.
A shining word flashed: “Light!” Lumina darted after the golden glow, and darkness began to loosen.
Light spread across the emptiness. Lumina raced through shining mist as day and night found their places.
The sky opened overhead. Land rose, seas rushed into place, and waves whooshed around Lumina.
The waves settled beside fresh ground. Green shoots popped up—sprout, leaf, flower!
Plants spread leaves and flowers everywhere. At night, stars sparkled across the sky, and one tiny star zipped past Lumina.
The little star got stuck in a leafy plant. Lumina watched until it twinkled free and zipped back into the sky.
Animals leaped, crawled, and flew through the growing world. Birds sang above rustling leaves while water splashed below.
Then people stepped onto the land. Their voices joined the birdsong, rustling leaves, and splashing water.
Lumina floated above the beautiful home. Light shone, seas sparkled, plants grew, stars glittered, animals moved, and people laughed.
Lumina turned toward the Spirit of God and joined the shining work. Below, darkness was no longer all Lumina could see.
Together, they swept onward through the bright, growing world. Light danced ahead, and Lumina followed.
