The café door creaked open. Sunlight poured onto the wooden floor. Zara stepped inside.
Zara saw her friend at the sunny window seat. Frosting was on their nose! "Look at your nose!" Zara giggled.
The barista set down two mugs. Zara reached for hers too fast — splash! Coffee spread across the table.
Zara grabbed napkins and dabbed the spill. She rubbed and rubbed until the table glistened. Her friend chuckled.
The cake arrived. But — oh no — it was upside down! Frosting slid right off the plate with a wet squelch.
Zara and her friend stared. Then they howled with laughter, slapping the wooden table. The whole café shook with their joy.
Zara held up her phone. First try — blurry heads. Second try — only fingers. Third time, they squeezed close and grinned.
Zara slid the phone across. Her friend peeked, eyes going wide — then beamed. Zara smiled at the picture. What a perfect day.
