High above the world, rainbow islands float among the clouds. A young unicorn stands at the edge.
The young unicorn looks down at the rainbow wings folded against their back. A warm wind tugs at them. Zephyr takes a brave step forward.
Zephyr runs and leaps! The wings flap hard — but only a wobbly half-circle. Down into a pile of soft cloud fluff with a gentle poof.
Zephyr sits up and shakes cloud bits out of the mane. Then spots a higher rainbow island floating above!
Zephyr scrambles up the cloud slope, hops, and leaps toward the higher island — but the wind catches the wings sideways!
Zephyr spins like a dandelion seed through a ring of floating flower petals that tinkle like tiny bells. Lands with a soft whump on a squishy cloud.
The cloud bounces once, twice, three times. Zephyr closes the eyes and thinks: "Maybe I'm not built for this."
Zephyr shakes it off. Takes the deepest breath, spreads both wings wide — and this time, the wind catches with a sound like wind chimes.
Zephyr lifts off — up, up, up! Through the sky kingdom, past rainbow islands and rivers of blue light.
The wind rushes past the ears, warm and familiar. For the first time ever, the wings feel exactly right.
Zephyr glides down and lands softly on the highest rainbow island. The wings fold gently behind.
The whole sky kingdom stretches out below. The wind hums a low happy note. Flying felt just like coming home.
