Zog tosses his shiny blue space ball high into the air. It whooshes past his bedroom window, past the moon, and straight into the starry dark.
He presses his nose against the glass. The ball is a tiny blue dot now, vanishing among the stars.
"I'll get it!" Zog dives into his little red spaceship and fires up the engine. VROOM!
He zooms past a sleepy comet and a cloud of glittery stardust, following the faint blue glimmer.
Zog spots the ball bouncing off a wobbly asteroid. It comes to rest in a crater full of twinkling crystals.
He climbs out and reaches toward it — but the crystals suddenly hum and glow! The ball lifts into the air, spinning like a tiny planet.
Zog laughs and chases the floating ball around the asteroid. "This is the best game of catch ever!"
When he finally catches it, the ball pulses with a soft blue light, warm against his palms. He tucks it close and climbs back into his ship.
Zog pilots home as the stars begin to fade to dawn.
He sets the ball gently on his bedside table, where it glows like a tiny nightlight.
Zog curls up in bed, smiling.
Already dreaming of tomorrow's adventure.
