Zorp flipped the ignition switch. The ship hummed. Stars blinked past the window like glitter on black paper.
Zorp steered past a red dusty rock. The companion tapped the glass and whispered, "Hello!" Zorp giggled and banked hard left.
Zorp chased a comet streaking silver across the dark. The twin green aliens followed its bright trail with wide eyes.
Zorp circled a giant striped planet spinning so fast its clouds blurred into rainbow ribbons. A tiny moon zoomed close — ping — and bounced away.
Zorp slowed the ship. A bright blue-green marble hung in the black. The surface shimmered with white clouds and deep blue oceans catching the sun.
Zorp pressed both hands flat against the glass. The engine purred into a quiet hum. The blue-green marble grew larger, shimmering.
Zorp stepped onto soft green grass that tickled the boots. A wobbling red flower leaned toward the light.
A butterfly with electric-blue wings landed on the green alien's finger. It fluttered once, twice.
The butterfly zoomed up toward the sky. The green alien watched it go and laughed, the sound bouncing off leaves and stones.
The green alien gazed over the next hill. More wonders were waiting there.
