Thunder cracked open the sky. Leo pulled his blue blanket tight around his shoulders.
A warm hand found his and lifted him toward the window. "Look at those clouds," the voice said softly.
Leo pressed his nose to the cool glass. The clouds rolled and rolled like giant pillow forts.
A flash of lightning turned the clouds bright and see-through. Leo's grip on the blanket loosened.
BOOM! Leo jumped backward and covered his ears. Then he peeked at the sky again.
Thunder rumbled once more. Leo didn't cover his ears this time.
Leo threw his arms up and cheered. "I like the storm!" His whole face lit up.
The storm rolled on, but Leo wasn't scared anymore. He stood tall by the window, watching the clouds dance.
