Tia skipped into the lush mango orchard, her sandals slapping softly against the dusty path. She swung a large woven basket in sweeping arcs, determined to find the perfect morning snack. Sunlight filtered through the dense green canopy, casting bright, dancing spots across the grass.

A sudden chorus of sharp chirps made her stop and grin. Three bright blue birds dove right past her face, kicking up a tiny whirlwind of dry leaves. She watched their fluttering wings dart deeper into the trees. "Help me find the biggest one!" she called out.

Tia ducked beneath the lowest branches to inspect the dangling fruit. Her fingers poked at a few green mangos, but they felt as hard as river stones. With a heavy sigh, she dropped the empty basket onto the dirt. The small, unripe fruits just wouldn't do.

High above, a flurry of movement caught her eye. The blue birds darted straight up into the sunlit canopy. They landed proudly on a towering, leafy branch and began tapping their sharp little beaks against something hidden in the leaves. They chirped wildly, demanding her attention.

Tia rushed over to a sturdy wooden crate and dragged it beneath the tall branch. Climbing up, she stretched her arm as high as it would go toward the giant golden mango the birds had discovered. She bit her lip in deep concentration, fingertips grazing the sun-warmed skin.

The heavy fruit wobbled just out of her grasp. Suddenly, the boldest blue bird hopped right onto the giant golden mango. It gave the thick stem one fierce peck. With a loud crack, the stem snapped, sending the massive treat plummeting straight down!

Tia gasped and threw both hands out, catching the massive fruit with a heavy thud right before it hit the dirt. A loud, joyful laugh burst out. She tore into the bright orange skin, letting the sticky, sweet-smelling juice run all the way down her chin.

She sat comfortably on the wooden crate, kicking her feet in the cool shade. Carefully, she broke off a soft piece of the fruit. The blue birds fluttered down to her knees, eagerly accepting the sweet morsels. It was, without a doubt, the best treat of the day.
