Every page, starring our demo kid — this role goes to your child.

  1. 1

Your Child wakes up and pats their sleepy chest, thump-thump. "What's the weather inside me today? Sunshine? Rain? Or something brand new?" Time to find out.

  2. 2

Happy is a big golden sun! It feels warm and glowy from head to toe. Even your toes want to skip and hop and dance in the light.

  3. 3

Excited is a burst of orange sparks — pop, pop, pop! They fizz and jump and can't sit still, not even for one tiny second. Whee, there they go again!

  4. 4

Sad is a soft blue rain, drip... drop... falling slow. Everything goes quiet and a little heavy, and your eyes feel like two small puddles. It's okay to cry.

  5. 5

Angry is a big red storm! Whoosh — BOOM — the wind roars and stomps. Your Child's cheeks turn hot, and Your Child's eyebrows scrunch into tight little knots.

  6. 6

Scared is a thick grey fog — it hides the path and makes everything whisper-quiet. Your Child hugs both arms tight and asks in a small voice, "What do I do?"

  7. 7

Deep breath — in... and out. Slowly the fog melts away, and there lies a soft green meadow with a little singing stream. Calm feels just right, like cool grass under bare feet.

  8. 8

Your Child gets it now, and it feels like a little light switching on: feelings are like weather — they come, they stay a while, and then they go. Every single one is okay.

  9. 9

Yellow, blue, red, green, orange, grey — hand in hand they swirl and dance across the sky, until they become Your Child's very own rainbow! Your Child spins underneath it, laughing out loud.

  10. 10

That night, the little rainbow pin gives a twinkle on the nightstand. Every feeling — sunny, rainy, stormy, foggy — is Your Child's friend now. Goodnight, feelings. See you tomorrow.
