Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Doodara, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

Description of Service

Doodara provides an AI-powered platform for creating picture books, flipbooks, and children's stories. Our service includes AI illustration generation, story templates, layout editing, and book publishing features.

AI Models We Use

Doodara does not train its own models. Every illustration and every line of story text is produced by third-party AI models that we call through their providers' APIs. Illustrations on paid plans are generated with ByteDance Seedream 4.0 (bytedance/seedream-v4 and its image-editing variant) served through AtlasCloud, and some lightweight images use Black Forest Labs FLUX.1 [schnell]. Illustrations on the free plan and the free tools are generated with Agnes Image 2.1 Flash. Story outlines and page text are generated with OpenAI GPT-5.6 (Terra for stories, Luna for shorter tasks) accessed through OpenRouter, and with Agnes 2.0 Flash on the free plan. We may change providers or model versions to improve quality, cost, or availability, and this page is updated when we do.

User Accounts

You must create an account to use most features of Doodara. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

User Content

You retain ownership of the original text and story ideas you create on Doodara. AI-generated illustrations are provided to you under a license rather than transferred to you. Free plans cover personal use only — reading, sharing, and printing for yourself and your family — and do not include commercial rights. Commercial rights are granted in two ways: a one-time single-book unlock, which covers only the book it was purchased for, and a paid plan (Pro and above), which covers every book on your account. With either, you may sell your books, self-publish them, or use them commercially.

Intellectual Property

The Doodara platform, including its design, features, and technology, is owned by Doodara and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform or its underlying technology.

Payment and Subscriptions

Some features of Doodara require payment. We offer recurring subscription plans (Pro and Premium, billed monthly or yearly) and a one-time purchase that unlocks the exports and commercial rights for a single book. Current prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout before you pay. By subscribing to a paid plan you expressly authorise us, and our payment provider, to charge your payment method the applicable fee on a recurring basis at the start of each billing period, until you cancel. Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider — Stripe, or Waffo Pancake, depending on what and when you purchased. Where the provider acts as merchant of record, it is the seller for that transaction. The provider handling your payment is shown at checkout and named on your receipt. We never see or store your full card details. You can cancel at any time from the Manage Subscription button on the pricing page, without contacting us. Cancellation stops the next charge; your plan stays active, with the credits already granted for that period, until the end of the period you have paid for.

Refunds

Payments to Doodara are non-refundable except where this section or the law says otherwise.

Seven-day guarantee on your first paid plan. If you are subscribing for the first time and change your mind, we refund the charge in full within 7 days of it being taken, provided you have not yet used what it bought: no credits from that plan's allotment have been spent, and no book has been exported or downloaded — as a PDF, as an EPUB, or as image files — since the plan started. Both of those are recorded on your account, so this is something we can check rather than argue about. Generating anything at all spends credits, so in practice the guarantee covers the person who subscribed and then never got started. It applies once per customer, to monthly and yearly plans alike, and it does not apply to a plan you have held before, to a renewal, to the one-time purchases below, or to an account we have terminated for breaching our Acceptable Use Policy — a prompt we refuse costs no credits, and that is not going to be a route to a refund.

Outside that guarantee, we do not refund a change of mind, a period you have already been able to use, or credits that have been spent — a subscription grants credits and unlocks generation immediately, and a printed book is manufactured to your individual order. We do refund, without you having to ask twice, a charge that was duplicated or taken in error, and any amount charged after a cancellation had already taken effect. If a fault on our side stopped you using something you had paid for, tell us and we will make it right, normally by restoring the credits or extending the period.

Statutory rights are unaffected. If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract; for digital content and services delivered immediately that right ends once performance has begun with your consent, which is what happens when you place your first generation. Printed books are made to your specifications and are exempt from that withdrawal right, but a book that arrives damaged, misprinted, or materially different from what you approved will be reprinted or refunded in full — tell us within 30 days of delivery and send a photo. Where your local consumer law gives you a stronger right than this section, that law applies.

To request a refund, email hello@doodara.com from the address on the account. If a charge looks wrong to you, please write to us before raising a chargeback; we can almost always resolve it faster than your bank can.

Acceptable Use

Doodara is used by parents, teachers, and children, and what may be generated with it is limited accordingly. Our Acceptable Use Policy lists the categories of content that are prohibited, how prompts are screened before generation, what happens when a rule is broken, and how to report a violation. It forms part of these terms, and using Doodara means accepting it.

Termination

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from the Manage Subscription button on the pricing page, without deleting your account. To delete your account entirely, email hello@doodara.com from the address you signed up with; we action it within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy — immediately and permanently in the case of the zero-tolerance categories listed there, and after warnings otherwise. Upon termination your right to use the service ceases, and fees for an account terminated for a policy breach are not refunded. We will tell you why, and you may appeal by replying to that notice.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Doodara is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will meet your specific requirements.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of Doodara after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
