1. 1

   Drip, drop. Drip, drop. It's raining! Your Child presses a little nose against the cool window and watches the raindrops dance down the glass. One, two, three — look how fast they race!

2. 2

   Your Child zips up the yellow raincoat, then hops on one foot to pull on the little red boots. One boot, two boots — all done! Your Child swings the door open. "Here I go!"

3. 3

   The puddles look like little mirrors — Your Child can see the clouds and a smiling face inside. Two big steps back, then Your Child jumps. SPLASH! The water bursts up like a fountain of giggles.

   A little snail is slowly, slowly crossing the path, carrying its tiny house on its back. Your Child crouches down and holds a big leaf over it. "Don't worry, little snail — I'll be your umbrella!"

   Your Child folds a little paper boat and sets it gently on the busy stream. The boat wobbles, spins once, and off it sails! Your Child runs along beside it, cheering, "Go, little boat, go!"

   "Quack quack!" A little yellow duck waddles over, wiggle-waggle, and plops right into the puddle. Your Child squats down and holds out a hand. "Hello, little duck! Want to play with me?"

   BOOM! BA-BOOM! Thunder rolls across the sky, and the wind makes the flowers bow. Your Child holds the hood tight and takes a deep breath. "I'm not scared — the sky is just playing drums."

   The rain stops, the clouds slide apart, and the sun peeks out. A great big rainbow stretches across the sky! Your Child spreads both arms wide and counts the colors — red, orange, yellow… wow!

   Back home, Your Child holds a warm cup of cocoa with both hands. Blow, blow… sip! Mmm, cozy from head to toe. "Even adventurers need a rest," Your Child says, while the raincoat drips dry on the chair.

    At night, Your Child snuggles under the soft blanket, thinking about puddles, the paper boat, and the little duck. Will it rain again tomorrow? Wondering and wondering, Your Child's eyes slowly close. Goodnight.
