1. 1

   Today Your Child meets a brand-new family member — a little goldfish with a tail that flows like a silky ribbon. Your Child peers into the bag, nose close to the water. "Hello there. I'm going to take care of you."

2. 2

   The goldfish's new home is a shiny glass bowl, with little pebbles on the bottom and one gently waving water plant. The goldfish swims a slow circle around everything. It seems to like it here!

3. 3

   Feeding time! Just one tiny pinch — not too much, not too little. The flakes float down like tiny snowflakes, and the goldfish zooms up to meet them. "Too much gives you a tummy ache!"

4. 4

   Every morning Your Child checks first, bending down nose-to-bowl like a little inspector: Is the water clear? Is the goldfish swimming happy laps? Check, and check! Then it's time for breakfast.

   Cleaning day! The goldfish waits in a little cup while Your Child works — gently, slowly, no splashing. Fresh clear water pours in, and the plant goes back in its place. "Almost done, little one!"

   The goldfish knows Your Child now! Whenever Your Child comes near, it wiggles right over and blows tiny bubbles against the glass — bub, bub, bub. "Hello to you too!" Your Child giggles.

7. 7

   Playing outside is SO much fun... until the sky turns dark — oh no! Your Child freezes mid-hop, hands flying to both cheeks. The goldfish hasn't been fed today! Not one single flake!

8. 8

   Thump, thump, thump! Your Child races home and ties the little apron back on. "Sorry I'm late! Were you hungry?" One tiny pinch, sprinkled slow — and the goldfish glides up, swish, all is forgiven.

9. 9

   Then Your Child thinks up a clever trick: keep the fish-food tin right next to the toothbrush! "After brushing, I'll never forget you again." Your Child steps back, arms crossed, and nods. Perfect.

10. 10

    The goldfish gleams, round and strong, blowing happy bubbles in the lamplight. A tiny life counts on Your Child, every single day — and that makes Your Child feel wonderfully, warmly important.
