1Whoosh — here comes the wind! Your Child's blue kite soars higher than the rooftops, its rainbow tail wiggling and dancing. Your Child runs through the soft green grass, holding the string tight and laughing into the sky.
2Oh no! One big gust — whoosh! — and the kite is stuck at the very top of the tall tree! The string dangles down between the green leaves, swaying. That tree is so, so tall!
3Your Child jumps and jumps — can't reach. Stretches way up on tiptoes — still can't reach. The kite is just a tiny blue speck in the branches. "It's too high for me," Your Child sighs.
4"I can't reach it alone... so I'll make a rescue team!" Your Child stands up tall and calls out across the meadow: "Friends, come and help!" One by one, the animal friends come hurrying over.
5The squirrel scurries up the trunk — zip, zip, zip! "Leave it to me!" But way up high, the string is tangled tight around the branch. Down below, Your Child cheers with both fists in the air.
6Your Child points up and calls: "Little bird, untie the knot, please!" The little yellow bird flutters up to the branch. One tug of the pointy beak, two tugs — pop! — the knot is loose!
7"Bunny, make a soft leaf bed, so the kite can land gently!" Scritch-scratch-scritch go the busy paws — the golden leaves pile up like a fluffy little mountain. What a cozy landing spot!
8Look — the kite floats free at last! Down, down it drifts on the breeze. The puppy barks — boing! — leaps high over the leaf pile and catches it, safe and sound!
9"We did it!" Your Child hugs the blue kite tight and high-fives the whole team, one by one — squirrel, bird, bunny and puppy. "Hooray!" The sunny meadow rings with happy cheers.
10The blue kite is flying high again, its rainbow tail waving to everyone below. Your Child grins at the team: "What's impossible alone gets easy when we do it together!" Off they run through the golden grass.
